Facet as a Segment destination beta

Facet has begun its beta program as a Segment destination.  Within minutes, you’ll be able to investigate your data which comes through Segment with a Facet workspace. We have already heard feedback from early test users about how quickly and easily they were able to begin diving into the trends of their data.

Specifically, now you can:

  • Authenticate Facet as Segment destination to send stream of events
  • Facet automatically categorizes metrics and dimensions
  • Select which dimensions and metric to make visible
  • Create custom calculated metrics

With Facet, there is no complicated setup required, and we’ll keep your data model up to date automatically.  You no longer need to spend time to learn how to use another visualization tool, as Facet gives you the pre-configured workspace automatically and ready to begin.

Here at Facet, we are now using this as our primary means of monitoring the usage of our own application.  This enables any member of our team to have easy, exploratory access to our usage data in an intuitive tool.  We use this internally to investigate scenarios like new feature usage, daily users of the platform without predefining the filters and A|B testing in the application, all without building custom dashboards.

If you would like to participate in the beta please contact to begin a free trial with Facet.  While on the call, we will walk you through the 3 steps required in order to begin to stream your Segment events to Facet.  By the end of the phone call, you will have your first Facet workspace ready to dive into.  We look forward to meeting with you and helping you dive deeper into your data.
