As a data first company, here at Facet we understand how critical it is that you can share your data findings with teammates quickly, in a standardized manner. For that reason, we’ve launched our Facet Slack app to enable sharing in the middle of the conversation. With our Slack integration, Facet administrators can install the Facet Slack app within your own Slack workspace and generate previews of your workspace inline with your conversations.
With this release, users of Facet can more efficiently share data with each other. Previously, if you were to share a Facet link through Slack, the user would stop what they are doing, click the link, log in to Facet, view the workspace, and then go back to Slack to comment about what they saw. Now, with the Facet Slack app, you’ll see the message they send and the preview of the workspace in Slack. You’ll be able to respond to the message in line, without needing to context switch out of Slack based on what you see in the preview. If you do need to switch into Facet and begin data exploration, you’ll be able to click the link and start from exactly what was seen in the preview.
This is only the beginning of our journey toward the last mile of data analytics. Up next is the ability to schedule these reports natively through your workspace so you can always be alerted about the trends in your time series data. To get started using our Slack app, message firstname.lastname@example.org for the instructions.
